True. But during the brief weeks when he was a singleton, he turned into a clingy, miserable, crying old thing, not eating, and finding it hard to settle. He spent most of his life as the youngest of 7 cats, and really thrives in the company of other cats, even if they bounce on him now and again! Don't worry; he's happy, and can give that kitten a clip round the ear if she gets too much for him.
