Postal pleasures II

A little box arrived from Australia today. Tricia hadn't told me to expect it.

I had spent much of yesterday incubating a plan to visit Australia again, and wondering if Tricia would be up to a visit later this year.

A pretty paperweight! Two dragonflies about to meet up. Maybe I should take it as a sign.

Thank you, Tricia. I'll be in touch soon to talk flying with you.

How beautiful! What a lovely present. Mind the cats don't try and catch them!

Magic words ....a trip !
Perhaps it might be an idea to start stockpiling essential emergency supplies now . Though you could probably wait till you get there to buy a billy can and mosquito coil .

Hmmmm, maybe we should revisit my posts of March-April 2008 to remind ourselves of the nightmare that was my last trip to Australia..... British Airways Aversion Therapy. Australia itself - fabulous beyond words. Travelling to it - nightmare.

Get packing! That paperweight is the loveliest of signs that you should be going. Perhaps with a stopover in Canada to break the trip...

Sort out your passport now - just in case!

Best bit about travel sometimes is the planning and anticipation.

Fab new header!

OMG - I'd forgotten all about that passport!

And yes, as a Sagittarian, I know it can be better to travel hopefully than to arrive...

The header is the wintry windy Tyne, from North Shields Fish Quay.
