....damp but newly-cleaned carpets.
Then look at the gleaming windows.
And the new cushions on the armchairs.
The tidy baking cupboard.
As well as the tidiness of the shorn dog.
And Zephirine Drouhin doing her lovely best.
The For Sale board goes up tomorrow. Maybe we'll have visitors.

Oh, you'll absolutely, definitely have visitors. First of all everybody on the street will want to come and have a look at what you have been up to for a bout a year or so.. all the fixing, doing and cleaning.. they'll want to see inside for sure.... but, then.... Mr. Trendy Specs... will he be bringing folks by? I do hope so....I kind of like the sound of him......
ReplyDeleteIt look lovely..... won't take long to sell...better get busy searching out the new abode....
Anyone who looks in your baking cupboard will probably be so intimidated by your organisation that they'll sign up immediately and buy. How do you DO that?
ReplyDeleteLovely... visitors will be charmed. Tell Lottie she looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeletePotential buyers won't believe their luck ! Clean , fresh , attractive and ready to move into !!
ReplyDeleteIn Holland , buy or rent , the previous inhabitants will have taken not just the light bulbs , but the light fittings and door handles as well , never mind carpets and curtains and laminate floors .
Slightly disconcerting for the uninitiated .
Yes, fingers crossed!
ReplyDelete(The house looks amazing!)
Ye Gods woman! Is no one/no corner safe? What next?
ReplyDeleteEven if you moved next door to me I would now be too intimidated by your high standards to even invite you for tea!
Fer gawd's sake! I'm only showing you because it's such a novelty to me too!
ReplyDeleteFrom the dark hole which is my demolished kitchen I can only look and wonder!
ReplyDeletewe don't believe you for a half second....I'm sure it is plenty tidy most times.... it's just that it's even tidier right now..... lol.... but, yeh, and I know what you mean about it being a novelty to actually see shiny and dust free.....it only lasts about 7 minutes and then... miraculously...dust settles.... lint finds its way onto things... no cat hair here...but, doll hair and bear fur in everything.... ick....and ...accckkkk!
ReplyDeleteLooks great Rachel - you make me feel soooooo guilty!
ReplyDeleteDan
-x-
Wow !! looks FANTASTIC ! all fingers, toes and of course paws crossed here xo S & les Gang
ReplyDeleteDeep breath - it will all be fine. Just get Mr Trendy Specs' clients to take their shoes off! Oh, and explain that Lottie, Millie, Scooter and Hamish (and the Dog) are not part of the fixtures and fittings.
ReplyDeleteYes, I thought it sounded horribly as if you were leaving Lottie and Dog as added extras. NO!
ReplyDeleteNow that your house is immaculate, I don't suppose you'd like to pop up to Edinburgh and do the same here? No?
Everything looks so clean, neat, and inviting. I'm sure you'll have lots of folks interested.
ReplyDeleteWow!!!Even the animals gleam!! Right down to the clipped nails...ka..CHING!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Zephirine's leaves duly dusted?
ReplyDeleteYES YES!!I'm ready to buy, if only my cats would agree to travel so far!!!sigh....
ReplyDeleteYou may mock, some of you, but you're right to do so - just come round here and you'll find yourself damp-dusted and polished up with a Brasso-laden cloth!
ReplyDeleteIt won't last, of course; I'm just not good at staying tidy for long.....
I can't wait for you to tell us how the first viewings go! I would like to think that the viewing does not include people snooping round your baking cupboards, but you never know. Can you get the cats/dog to line up in a sort of 'guard of honour' for viewees?
