    It looks simply perfect, you were so right to alter it and the stove is beautiful, you'll be looking at pictures in the fire.

    Brilliant! I trust your toes are delighting in the heat. Your mantel looks so homely. I've a very similar old clock which I think my grandfather was given when he retired. What are you burning?

    Enjoy the stove - I'm sure it won't be long before the menagerie are curled up in front of it enjoying the warmth. Our spaniel used to end up sleeping with her head on the hearth when we had an open fire!

    It all looks quite delicious.
    It's raining chestnuts and acorns here. The puppy treads very carefully through the spiky husks.
