Very like the little village church where my parents, grandparents, great grandparents etc were christened, married and buried, and where I hope to be buried one day. I love little churches like this.
Breathtaking! I have always had a penchant for country churches! There is such comfortable silence and closeness to it, unequal in a larger one! Weddings, christenings, funerals and burials meant this one is very special to us (photo below):
What a lovely photo tour. Although the church itself, including its interior, is charming, I think I rather liked the approach more. Especially the gate and all those mossy stones.
Alas, WV is going back on - I know it's hateful, but so are the robot spammers. Please please don't let WV stop you from leaving your oh-so-welcomed comments!

So wonderful! I wonder when that casket was placed, that the tree was a sappling and now taking over. Truely dust to dust... Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteAnd are you still too hot to do anything? The weather fairy appears to be sending our sleet down your way. Put on a jumper...
ReplyDeleteThis is the loveliest place I have seen in a very long time. The little steps going up the outside wall have me completely enchanted.
ReplyDeleteVery fine. Love your photos.
