Sometimes, little things bring unexpected happiness.
Today all it took was neighbour Claire's car in the sunshine, communicating with:
the little pane in the front door.
And then - for a few minutes - the hall became a light show:
Morning sunshine transformed.
I am often intensely happy here in my little house.
Little things can transform the mundane into something spectacular. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteSpectacular! Are the four-footed inhabitants of your little house at all interested?
ReplyDelete.... nice results from the communication between the car and door pane!
ReplyDeleteAnd that happiness is to be seized on, as you have.
ReplyDeleteYour house was definitely a good buy .
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't just keep you cosily out of inclement weather .... you have a daily Son et Lumière as well . Wonderful !
Ever read Catching the Light by Arthur Zajonc? A history of us and our ideas about light. Lovely, like your photos.
ReplyDeleteYour little house and your new life suits you and the tribe so well (frogs apart). So glad.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you are happy in your house. You worked hard to make it happen!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you noticed and enjoyed....and shared!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!

Beautiful, thanks for the "heads up" lady. I hope to see it for myself at some point soon. r.x
ReplyDeleteI feel precisely the same about my little house.
ReplyDeleteSoeties it's tha simplest of things that give most pleasure!!
ReplyDeleteYou sound much happier in your little house Rachel and yes, light especially sunlight, makes everything feel so good!
ReplyDeleteHugs to all,
Ooh, you have your very own magic light box - how wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere once, and I think it's true, that the very simplest things often give the most pleasure. The sun, with the help of your neighbours car, laid on a beautiful light show for you. It couldn't be bought and it made you happy.
ReplyDeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had light dancing around my house as much as you do!
ReplyDeleteIt's all about having your eyes wide open to finding the unexpected beauty ~ :)
Rachel, I've been reading your blog for quite a while now and just today noticed your new photo. You look fabulous! When you lived in the Northeast, you looked rather dour (sorry), but now you positively glow. I'm certain your previous photo was a reflection of your surroundings, but I am so glad your move was successful and you are obviously very happy in your new location.
ReplyDeleteI'm very glad that you're happy. You deserve to be happy.
ReplyDeleteMy first time here, and I get the light show! Magic!
ReplyDeleteLovely. I get to watch the washing machine go round here!
ReplyDeleteLovely :0)
ReplyDeletesuch delights!!
