To London with friend* yesterday, by train. Weather variable.
We went here.
And here.
To see this.
And meet them.
And then home.
There was more, of course - Tubes, walking, serious camera shopping, espressos, muddled meeting-up directions, missed opportunities for shared lunch, running out of time, and painful farewells.
But this was enough.
Goodbye, Lovely Son! Until next time....

xo parting is always sweet sorrow....
ReplyDeletehow long a trip is it?

I love the Imperial War Museum (is it alright to love a War Museum??). So much to see, fascinating shows, great exhibits, lovely building. I go once every couple of years and next time will be taking Richard!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a Grand Day Out.
Lesley xx
It looks like you had a great day.
ReplyDeleteI think I've said it before, but aren't we lucky with our lovely sons!!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet sorrow indeed. Know that moment so well. But you made it, you met up. Now I'm feeling ever so slightly sad as I imagine the train pulling away....but shan't labour the point.
ReplyDeleteAdmire Don McCullen's work very much - think it made an impression on me at an early age.
How lucky you are to live where you can take a fast train to a major city for a fun day. Here in the USA, we have to drive our cars...with all the resulting issues.
ReplyDeleteLove your posts, and the photos are breathtaking!
What a great meet-up, and the way they look at each other... Ahhh.
ReplyDeleteGreat day! There's something about even just looking at train stations that make my feet tired...
ReplyDeleteCan't think of what to say, just wanted you to know I had read and recognised that feeling, those feelings.
ReplyDeleteExciting to meet, sad to part but overall a good day, by the look of your photos.
ReplyDeleteYes , we have to grab every chance we can to see them , I agree .
ReplyDeleteAnd it's always good to see them so settled and happy .
