I didn't just ignore those fallen roof tiles, slatternly though I am. I went out into the road and gazed pessimistically at my roof. They didn't appear to have fallen down from there (though there's still time). Given the force of today's gales, those tiles may well have come from Stornoway, where the weather makes ours look positively Mediterranean.
