The cup that cheers

Roger's lovely little coffee cups inspired me to set out some of my own favourites. I love china, and have a collection of odds and ends, some of which are used. Above are some that I particularly like. Below is what I really like to use them for!

  1. Bottom left and right are my favourites. Filled with bottom, bottom.

  2. That would be Poole, and Villeroy & Boch (can't afford more than one of those!), and a discontinued Habitat one with Ceylon tea in it. I like the top right, second right and left, as they are wafer-thin and delicate, but I use mugs more often than not - simply because they hold more tea!

  3. They are all beautiful but, I dearly love the Lomonosov...I have one teacup and saucer of theirs and a little teapot...

how about the other little blue and white with gold border..is it also one? ... and, I also like the one at the very top right side too....

  4. The Lomonosov was brought back from Georgia (USA, that is) by my mother as a gift for me - she was over 80 when she made that trip! The blue with gold rim is a little porcelain coffee cup, and I have 4 of those, 2 with a big chip out of their saucers after an awful accident. The top right is unmarked, and I have lots of that, plates, cups and saucers, but alas, nothing else. Oh dear, I can feel a little surge of china-love coming on...

  5. Pretty cups! I had never heard of Lomonosov, but when I looked it up it turned out to be the one that I love the most too. "Cobalt net", you learn something new every day.
