I might look like a reluctant walker nowadays, but look what I could do in the snow in 2005!
That's 35 dog years ago, you know.
Those were the days!
You'll notice that I still have the same old tartan thermal coat that I wore then. Rachel felt ashamed of it today, and let me wear my reversible double-thickness one, knitted by Auntie Sandra. It's navy blue on the other side.
She calls it my tea cosy.
It's cosy, that's for sure. I enjoyed our walk through the park in it.

Airborne in first photo... Faster than a speeding bullet, able to leap buildings in a single bound...
ReplyDeleteThose were the days, right Tosca? I understand completely. I could do some pretty good stuff 35 years ago too. Getting old is no fun!
ReplyDeleteDear Tosca , I find too that the last five years have slowed me down somewhat ( I can't even remember 35 years ago , springy or not ).
ReplyDeleteI am also still wearing the same coat .But seeing how cheering your new red jacket is , I might treat myself to a red muffler .
Sonata .
You have a very kind Auntie Sandra - it's a beautiful coat.
ReplyDeleteMy aged labrador would still love to do that but although the spirit is more than willing the body cannot keep pace. I think Tosca is a sensible girl, looking after herself these days.
ReplyDeleteI love her reversible coat but completely sympathise with wanting to stick with an old worn-in one.
(PS. Yes, I'm loving the snow. We've still got plenty of it here!)
That's pretty impressive Tosca. You were like a racehorse in those days.
ReplyDeleteRed suits you.
Poor Little Dogs . . . so small that the cold goes right through them once they've grown past the airborne phase...
ReplyDeleteHaha ~ so cute ~ I wish I could run that fast through this cold snow! :(

So sweet and yet so sad. I was just thinking that our cats are - not sure what you multiply cats' ages by, but maybe their early twenties in human years. Still in their prime, but...
ReplyDeleteMind you, even their prime doesn't encourage them to spend much time out in the snow.
Ah Tosca, it comes to us all. You look very festive in your red coat. These would accessorise it quite well:

I think we can all sympathise Tosca, never enough energy these days. I also wanted to say how beautiful you look in your red coat.
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous in your new coat Tosca, very stylish!! I wouldn't worry too much about running fast - I never could (I was always last in races at the school sports, except for the time I won the egg and spoon race!)
ReplyDeleteHa, looks like Tosca enjoyed the snow 35 years ago. Mind you, her expression looks sprightly in today's picture, must be the extra thermal coat!

wooohoooooo... look at you fly!!!
ReplyDeleteThat first photo immediately titled itself WHEEEE! in my head. And it is very nice to hear you enjoyed the walk today too - you may not be flying, but getting out and about keeps a spring in your step.
ReplyDeleteOh Tosca, you are so adorable showing off your sprint from 35 years ago.
ReplyDeleteI used to do that too, 35 years ago!!
Have a wonderful time in the snow even though your sprint is diminished these days.
Love your coat.
