Nosy new neighbours

Alpacas.

Just up the road, watching us with interest.

  1. Tosca is too vision-impaired with cataracts to spot them, and Flossie is too ball-obsessed to see anything other than the occasional squirrel. And even then, the ball usually wins....

  2. Oh, they are lovely! I'd be down there introducing myself to the owner and asking to pet them!

  3. They are so beautiful. I really need a bigger yard. I wonder what they neighbors would think.

  11. No, Rachel. Put it out of your mind. The gang would not be pleased if you acquired a couple of those.

  15. oh.. and one other thing... Alpacas love to spit at people when they get close..at least the ones we met.. but their fleece is heavenly .. reminds me of what angel hair would be like.

  16. I saw loads of alpacas when I went to Peru last year. I bought some wool (as cheap as chips out there) and knitted some incredibly soft baby items. I'd keep in with the owners, you might get the odd bargain!
