Bulletin 1
Out round the streets and back lanes a number of times, with the dog, beloved of Scooter, alongside. Scooter may run away from me, but he always greets the dog with a friendly head bump.
Eventually my lips go numb from calling "Scooooooter!" followed by "Pssswwwssswsssssss". And listening for cries of distress is so hard - Sunday morning traffic is heavy, if distant, and the birds are loud too, but then - what's that? A little cry? Call again. Another little cry.
And then I notice that Lottie is following us.
Me: "Scoooooter! Pssswwwssswsssss!"
Lottie: "Miaow!"
Next is knocking on neighbours' doors to ask them to look in their yards and sheds for a big fat dimwit who is giving his human an enormous amount of anxiety. Lottie, you stay here and mind the shop.

Good luck with your searching...
Anxiously awaiting bulletin 2
oh my goodness ... is there anything worse then a cat who doesn't come in at bedtime. I, like you, have experienced this one too many times (and a few of those times lasting 48+ hours). The feeling of absolute joy and happiness when you eventually do find them or they find their way home is so incredibly overwhelming I always think "this must be what it's like to win a multi million dollar lottery". Fingers & paws all crossed at Black Street
Come on Scooter, go home!
Oh my, I hope Scooter has made his way back home. I know how upsetting it is when they decide to disappear for awhile. He's probably out on an exciting adventure and will come home when he gets hungry and tired. Good luck with finding him.
Don't forget to stop and have some tea and a snack now and then . You must be exhausted and frazzled .
I hope that meanwhile he's sleeping the fright off in a safe corner .
