It's hard to take an un-blurred photograph of a cat who is purring as hard as Scooter in drooling joy at being hauled out of a hiding place four doors down and brought home again.
Oh frabjous day! I am so happy for all of you. (The girls will be, too, when they surface from beneath their quilt pile. It's winter here.) Scooter, you rascal. Scared little rascal, I suspect, but a much-loved rascal.
Oh thank goodness! I got up twice in the night to check. Just after 5am here so I'll go back to bed. I'm so glad there was a happy outcome! Welcome home Scooter.
So pleased he is back with you. I can now stop logging on to your blog every hour! Relief all round ! Daft isn't it how one can worry so much about a cat not known to you? Though I suppose really the worry is more for you and your distress. X
Silly boy, that will teach him to play at being a big bold alley cat! I'm so glad he came back - it is awful when they wander. Ours stay out all night, and I wait 24 hours before worrying, but in 15 years we have only lost one forever. The rest returned, eventually. Nine lives and all that.
Well , it was clever of him to find refuge somewhere safe . It would have been even better if he'd managed to come home afterwards , of course .... but you both look delighted ! Well Done !!
Wonderful! Plus am delighted to hear Scooter is so very sorry to have caused you so much grief. Now you can all sleep, sleep, sleep. Thanks to the furry ones for keeping us updated. OllieV
What a relief!! I have been glued to the blog all weekend like many others & am delighted by this news. Now - didn't you have a valutation to worry about later...?
oh and a ps - of course we want details of les happy return. Did he walk in ever so non chalantly like many a missing cat before him, tail straight up and that "oh, was I gone a little long ?" expression or was he rescued from some closed in scaredy (but ever curious) cat place. Any clues as to the whereabouts of this extended adventure ??? Details, details s'il vous plait - that is when you've had time to calm your nerves and wipe the oh so happy grin from your face. Much love, especially to Scooter the Scamp xo les Chats of Black Street
I've just read through your 'lost cat' bulletins and am so, so pleased he's back with you again. A happy ending. He may look a little blurry and perturbed at returning home but purring at full volume must be a good sign. Look forward to reading your next installment.
So relieved he's home! Could hardly read your Blog, know how you must have felt. One of ours was gone for several days and I cried like a baby when he came home. Hard as it is our cat now only goes out on a leash as we lost our last cat to a dog attack.
Four doors down feels TERRIBLE that Scooter should have taken refuge there when the residents were away. Poor, sweet, hapless wee soul. I have never been so pleased to see a cat in my life!!!
Hurray! Scooter's home! How wonderful! I've felt quite sad and anxious for you. Perhaps You could use a good sleep now after your busy days with house AND the search for Scooter. Best wishes from Joan and Callie the Cat.

I have been reading and holding my breath, willing Scooter to be found!
Hurrah! I've been on hold! Ridiculous but if you've ever had a cat missing for TWO WEEKS you never feel quite the same again. So glad for you.

Wonderful news!! I'm so glad Scooter is back home. I've been so worried about him. I know both of you are happy and relieved.
Great news! I can't wait to hear what the young gentleman has to say for himself.
Phew, really glad to hear that!
OH HURRAY!!!!!!

This has made my day. Scooter didn't happen to come across our lost boy on his travels, did he?

The relief, the happiness - and that's only me! I'm so filled with thankfulness that the little scamp is safely home.
Almost didn't come to the blog today, but I decided to take a quick peek. So glad the wayward wanderer is home where he belongs.
When things calm down(or as the kids say here, carm down), I hope you'll post the details of where he was hiding four doors down.
YAY, Scooter is home!!! What a relief!
Oh yay oh yay oh yay! I worried about Scooter last night and even got my husband to take a moment to envision him back home! Yaaay!!!
