My sister lives just across from the right-hand side of Glasgow's City Chambers.
A grand and imposing building. Hardly a family home.
Large and accommodating though!
Soaring spaces.
Cliffs of stone, with many ledges and sheer drops.
Rather like St Kilda, maybe?
These little gull chicks think so.
They toddle eagerly along the ledges when their parents come to feed them.
Although perhaps not with herring......
So far the local sparrowhawks haven't introduced themselves to the little family.
My sister will be away in Greece when these babies fledge, so won't have to live, heart in mouth, waiting to see how they fare as they launch forth into the bustling city centre.

Chicks of any sort in high places make me anxious but if everything were to survive, we'd soon run out of space.

Ach, they'll be fine. Brought up on a diet of fish suppers and pizza, they probably wouldn't know what to do with a wet fish if they met one.
Even seagulls are cute when little, though.

Don't worry . Herons , coots and even cormorants can look a little peely wally on occasion , but seagulls are immortal .

I imagine they'll be fine. But I can't imagine what it must be like just stepping off the ledge for the first time.
that seagull looking at the woohoo sign is hilarious! Mom used to get some great little shots of gulls. She thought they were very amusing......
