Mother's Little Helper

Mother, meanwhile, is lying in a darkened room with a cold compress on her forehead, trying to remember what life was like when she had to do her own kitchen stuff, unaided.

Did the little helper have anything to do with the necessity for that compress? ;-)

Hope you feel better soon, Rachel!

Or perhaps a cheese scone hangover?

Cheese scone hangover? I wish. Am keeping a 2-week food diary for my acupuncturist. No fun in food if your intake is going to be scrutinised!

And yes, taking time out from the little helper is a sensible thing to do from time to time. But she always tracks me down.....

SO happy that I could click to enlarge. I love her, sweet Miss Millie she is a doll and speaking of cheese scones I did immediately take note of BAKE cookery (wink) book or should I say bakery book dans la photo montage avec M. Millie - food journalling ... oh how fun.

Love the new banner. Interesting about food diary for your acupuncturist - shall ask you questions about that!

Today I'm making strawberry scones.... with some lovely fresh, sweet berries (from the grocery store as I don't plant any)

You haven't lived until you've had Rachel's scones! Trust me on this one.

I'll bet that Millie came and helped you lie down in the darkened room too.

Yes, Millie helps with any lying-down, getting up, cleaning teeth (has to be lifted up out of basin before the rinse-and-spit part), and everything to do with opening drawers and wardrobes to get clothes. I don't know how I managed on my own before she came....

Susan, I might post a cheese scone item; like pastry, it's not about recipe though, it's about handling. Watch this space.
