I am no longer 'the black kitten'. I am Scooter, the very special kitten who belongs with Rachel and Millie and Lottie and the dog.
If I stop scooting under chairs when anyone comes near me, I may get a different name, but Scooter will do nicely for now. Later, Rachel will tell you more about my decision to stay here and not move to Ashington. She's too excited to write anything just now, but just keeps making funny squeaking sounds at me. I may have to use the catnip spray on her.

All I can say is YEY! x
Well, I can't say I'm surprised at all! It was meant to be!
(Scooter is quite suitable for this little gentleman.)
Hah, you do know that several people are reading this with smug grins, and saying 'we always knew it would thus'.
Of course he belonged with you...and he knew it all the time, too. Silly human. :)
We could all see this coming , even Scooter ! Congratulations to you all !!!! He's definitely a ladies man .
Woohoo!!!!!!!
Me too - Yaaaay! I go away to Africa for a couple of weeks and come back to a new cat, and what a saga to go with him. You are totally converting me to cat-loving (in theory at least - my dogs would not appreciate a feline companion I fear!).
Keep it up.

It's that thing called love. It's a little of that ole black magic, black cat magic. Fell for that one myself once... I'm thinking of a song Alison Moyet recorded but can't for the life of me remember the correct title. I'm truly very happy for you, for all of you. X
As Laurie says over at IBKC:
"How many cats does it take to be classified a 'crazy cat lady'?
I think it's thirteen, but it varies from state to state"
So you have ten more to go (and I don't think the dog counts).
From someone who also has three.
I knew it .....for a fact. Told Greg last week I would bet money on it.... .. that little kitten is going nowhere.....hahahha..... boy will he keep you on your toes. And, look at all the baby photos for his album already..... hiya little Scooter! and you sure do! great name....
Aaaawwww.....all of you....thanks. Isn't he great? Haven't I made a good decision! You can be as smug as you like; you were right all along.
Welcome Scooter ! He's adorable I can see why you've decided to keep him and that M Millie and he (and the dog) all get along so well - leaving Lottie to nap in between guarding her fortress walls. xo les Gang
I'm so glad Scooter gets to stay. I can tell he is so happy living with you - it probably would have broken his heart to have to leave.
You didnt really stand a chance did you!
Welcome home, Scooter! A happy ending... and a new beginning.
Yay! That's great news! Was hoping that would happen!
How brilliant! Very pleased for all of you, and congratulations to Scooter!
All the best from one 3-cat household to another

What news! Such a shock to us all!!!
(Lovely little boy - all their antics make my day, and now there will be 3 + dog! Excellent!)
What a charmer he is. Great name.
