ok, so I lied

(An evening with the black kitten. Too much fun to keep to myself.)

Ooh, ooh, it's my Millie! Chirp, chirp, lovely to see you, Millie!

Play with me, go on!

Ask her to play with me....

It's a bit late for playing, mind you.

Someone's on the other side of this door. I can hear her hissing. Miss Fluffy Drawers, I'll bet.

A bit of exercise before bed. In and out of the box.

No fun without Millie.

Watch a bit of tv instead.

Pull the throw onto the floor and settle down. No one can see me..... Ni-night!

I love your kitten/cat/dog stories! They are all very charming characters.

If only it were possible to explain to Lottie, Millie and the dog that the kitten is just visiting, learning house skills from them before moving on!

I have often said to Rupert that I wish he could understand something in advance, because he frets at any changes at all.

He's become bright , bouncy and irrepressible .... does that mean he's ready to go ? How often can you bear to do this ?
Or is it like my job ? Every time a child goes off to school , I hate seeing them go ( well , nearly always ! ) , but am happy to see them ready for Big School , Big Adventures .
