Lighting up time

What this house needs today is....

...some sunshine!

especially the interior kind

that only a ginger cat can bring

and a slightly gingery dog too

not forgetting the see-through ears

just doing my job, says Hamish

lighting up everyone's life

It is so good to see the little chap settling in and becoming a normal happy cat.

Have you noticed that some cats have the most delicious pink pads on their paws? The snow will keep them pristine pink as well. We had a cat with a beautiful pink nose which in time acquired black battle scars, thanks to her crashing nose-first through the cat flap!

How brave he's become - isn't he gorgeous. I do like a marmalade cat.

Purr purr.

Gosh, it's freezing here. Beside the radiator in the study. Florida here I come. (I wish.)

As for see-through ears, it's funny how it happens to people too. It completely distracted me the other day at work when I was meant to be listening to someone but was more interested in the eth-ear-eal glow at both sides of his head. Ho, ho. My jokes just get worse.

Yes, he is quite a sweetie, and so pretty. Still easily spooked, but getting braver by the day.

Fran - great image!

Just as I started to read this, my husband said, "Have you seen the cat?" Appropriate.

I particularly enjoyed the cat bathed in golden light.

Thanks, btw, for the recommendation for Tomalin's Life of Pepys. That is right up my alley. I think it must be the only one of Tomalin's biographies that I haven't read.
