My act of extreme kindness

For Smitonius and Sonata, who asked...

The "round stripey choc on the left" is a coconut creme.

Was a coconut creme.

I was kind enough to eat it on your behalf.

Not at all, you're welcome. No need to thank me.

Haha! Cute post! mmmm.... those chocolates look... errr... looked very yummy! :) It is cool and rainy here ~ perhaps a little chocolate and movie watching curled up under a warm fuzzy blanket is just what a girl needs to do today. Yup ~ I think I will! :)

Have a terrific weekend Rachel!

I've just caught up with previous posts Rachel. I had no idea the house sale fell through! Thank goodness there is chocolate in the world (and great supportive friends)! Wishing you all the best in future negotiations with your lovely house back on the market.

What's with all the virtual chocolate tormenting? Alice was flaunting a framboise ganache the other day. Is it a meme?

If they had been my chocolates, I would have sent you the two white chocolate ones - for some reason I just don't like white chocolate ... I think maybe it's just too sweet?

oh mmm ...chocolate sings the song of my heart! I used to belong to the chocolate tasters club. I think it had to have been responsible for at least 10 pounds of unwanted fluffiness, but it was probably the most delicious ten pounds I ever gained!!

Bet they tasted good. You asked about the grooms hair, well he doesn't have quite so much but still a full head and it's greyer now(living with me probably did that).

Oh, Rachel - here I have been whinging and whining about nobody coming 'round my blog, and I've somehow completely missed your contract calamity! Please to forgive.

I am with you on the whole "why didn't they tell me" thingie, as I am currently scrambling around trying in vain to get new tenants for an apartment that SUPPOSEDLY is going to be vacated on September 1st, and yet... haven't seen a single moving van yet. The current tenant has a tendency to spring things on me in a "oh I just found out about it" way, although I doubt that is really the case.

Anyhow, I know how frustrating the rollercoaster ups and downs can be with the whole housing situation, and I am sending you virtual hugs and boxes of chocolates.

You are fortunate in that you have cats, who are the very best sympathy givers of all time.

We're all behind you, and something wonderful WILL happen - it's on the way!

Cheers,
M

P.S. I followed your link to that restaurant you ate at, and nearly fell off my chair laughing when I read the website directions to the place. Only in the UK do they include how NOT to get to the destination - makes me giggle every time!

"Now, you go down this road until you get to the big tree stump. There's a turn off there, but don't go down that way. That's how you get to Faffing on Twycliff. You want to keep on..."
