Look what happens if you leave your giant stick outside overnight, in a hard frost.
It shrinks!
(Only a little, Rachel mutters grimly.)
But it's still a great stick. My favourite!
Today we went out in the snow. My favourite, snow!
I took my yellow ball. My favourite ball!
Not such a hazard to cars, Rachel said.
Tosca didn't like it much in the snow. She trailed behind us, hoping we'd go home soon.
But I had time to play first. I love snow! I love sticks! I love my yellow ball on a rope! I love - Ok, enough, Florence, says Rachel. We all know you just love life...... Let's get that frozen tartan doglet home to defrost.
Yay! Home! I love home!
(Note: this video should have some jolly music with it, but Youtube isn't behaving.... )

Rachel, I want to take this opportunity to thank you very much for your blogs... they make me smile and (sometime) snicker at a difficult time.
My cheeks hurt from smiling, watching that video. How can so much joy be expressed without even one single word? We are so lucky to be welcomed into the hearts of animals.
Can we have a Tartan Doglet blog, please? That is the most wonderful description, except when she's frozen, of course.
Got the music. Grinning all over ma face.
How come I don't get the music? There are thousands of complaining threads on this matter alone, with Youtube clearly not getting it sorted for everyone.....
But if you can't hear it, and want to know, it's Ray Davies' "Dance of the Woodland Pixies" - very jolly!
Very jolly music heard here !
I can quite see why you're getting so much fresh air these days .
The energy levels make me think of a little boy , whom I love dearly .... and throw balls to on a fairly regular basis .Preferably in a park . A big park .
Ha, I love the tartan doglet!!
Flossie's enthusiasm for life just shines through in these pics - shame the stick plot didn't quite work out as planned...

I'm still laughing - she is so energetic!!
Brilliant! Got music too.
That made me smile! Glad she's enjoying the snow. A really nasty commute today [especially the black ice - saw 7 people fall on the walk home]meant I needed a reminder about "snow - what is it good for?"
Nice stick, too!

we all are
smiling, grinning, smiling ... ear to ear
love the music, goin' pro now with the video ??
very impressive
and she looks a little bit like a small wild black stallion with a yellow ball
The frozen tartan doglet can hang out with my cat . . . underneath whichever is the HOTTEST radiator. Yesterday I walked to the nearest grocery stores and I saw a woman walking three dogs in purple/pink jumpers. How I longed for a camera!
I got the music too.
What energy and joy wrapped up in a black dog. I`m still smiling!
I got the music as well. Very jolly, as was Flossie. Oh, to be young.
My attitude to the snow is more like Tosca's.
Oh Flossie, how I wish you could meet up with Zak on days like this, the two of you could love snow and big sticks togethe whilst my old dog would gladly accompany Tosca back to the sofa.
Happiness is........
Perfect music! Flossie dances like a big pixie. Such a joyous video - thank you for sharing!
They are adorable... each in her own way! Everything in the above comments is so true; your blog is delightful. You have inspired many smiles and chuckles. The doglet is so cute in her tartan!
Such energy, wish I had a bit of it. I really feel for Tosca, not much fun having your tummy that close to the snow!
I feel for little Tosca too. But she does come along and persevere bravely. And she gets to wear that lovely little jacket! So cute.
