Couple no. 1, visit no. 3
"This delightful light and airy mid-terraced family home... in very good decorative order..." (so says the estate agents' blurb) hides a dark secret: a quivering wreck of an owner who can't sleep.
The lovely young doctors have been twice to look round the house, staying a long time and asking a lot of questions. Both are very open about how much they love it.
On Tuesday one set of Young-Doctor Parents is coming to have a look too.
Who knows where this is going long-term; I've been here before. I try to stay calm and relaxed, not quite cynical, just being realistic. The house may sell; it may not. If it does, I will move. Simple? Simple.
But I am also having sharp unbidden attacks of terror, doubt, cold feet, excitement and nerves.
Sometimes it's hard to be doing this alone.

I've just read all your blogs ( well a lot of them) and it's like a novel, this houseselling. I hope these viewers will be buyers so you can move to Somerset, and the novel has a happy end. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
We'll do it with you! We'll be there, offering encouragement and support albeit from the comfort of our computers! Good luck, it sounds promising.
Your loyal readers are as with you as they can be. One especially, approaching this from the other point of view, and hoping to be behaving as honourably as the precarious circumstances will allow.
This is exciting. And as Annie says, we're all in it together.
maybe a few calcium tablets at bedtime? That way if you get to sleep they will help you stay asleep.

It can't be easy. Really hope it works out perfectly.
You have me biting my nails too!!
Deep breaths and comfort food - and all will be well, eventually!
Wish we could be there with you geographically, as we are in spirit. We are all cheering you on.
Oh dear; we are doing the same thing, and even though I'm not alone, sometimes it seems like the spouse is more of a hindrance than a help!
Yesterday we had the most demoralizing day looking at DIRE and expensive houses. Our house is going on the market soon; unless I get cold feet!
Let's hope for a spring of positive change; but if not, we can -- at least -- commisserate.
Hoping all goes as you wish it to- though sometimes it's the self-questioning of what one actually wishes that's the worry. Your many faithful readers all want the best for you.
Hang in there!

Oh , I do hope this turns out just the way you want it to ! The young couple are , hardly surprisingly , obviously very taken with the house .
I'll keep my fingers crossed whenever possible tomorrow . Good luck !
but you aren't alone. we're hoping for a play by play description of everything as it happens. we're right here with you. (please forgive lack of capitals... kitten is sleeping on my left arm so I have only one free hand to type)
Alone? Who said you're alone? We're all with you all the way...just if we all turned up to support you there wouldn't be room in the street, let alone the house....
Hope it goes well.
oh my ... oh us. Yes we are in this together.
Think of the garden, think of the giant yard/property, think of the warmer climate, think of the sea, think of how thrilled theTeam will be once they've got their knickers unknotted and think of us. "We will" all be there with you, cheering you on. Oh how tres exciting, nerve wracking yes ... but very, very exciting. much love xoxox les Gang
as David Byrne yelled/sang
Watch Out ! you might get what you're after ;-)

Oh dear - exciting and terrifying at the same time ....... I prescribe large amounts of cake! I laughed when you said about parents coming to view ..... when we sold our Victorian house a young couple (both dentists) came to view it. They came back later with her Dad. Then her Dad came back along with her Mum for another look - and they bought it! (and they are still there almost 14 years later - Stuart occasionally sees the chap in the pub!!)
Rollercoasters - wonderful achievements once you've got off!
O dear, alone, moving house?
You have my heartfelt commiserations. Doing it in tandem is hard enough.
Best wishes and good luck.
What is it about your house and doctors? Hopefully these two are a bit more clued up about where they need to live, and when!
A third viewing sounds very positive, so fingers crossed!!!

It's young doctor territory here - before they start to earn a lot of money and move to snootier parts of town! At the last count, there were 8 in my street, all women.
Oh how exciting! I have everything crossed for you and do so understand the middle of the night panics. All will be well, whatever it is!
We're all having attacks of excitement and nerves along with you. Good luck! This sounds promising.
