Uphill

Shelagh's last night, before she leaves tomorrow for a few days in London then home to Toronto.

So we went to watch the sun set over the hills.

The dogs came too.

And driving back, we spotted this on the skyline.

Yet another reason for Shelagh to declare, as she has done daily, "I love it here!"

Reminds me of a scene from "The Queen" ...the movie... Stunning! Thank you, Rachel for sharing.

That is a magnificent stag! Pretty impressive sunset, too. With so much light in the sky it's hard to realise how dark it actually is.

I'm with Shelagh. And I love the way she spells her name almost as much as I love that buck you captured with your camera.

Sunsets are one of the glories of living on the West coast. By the way, Blogger is playing up, and this is about my seventh attempt at leaving a comment!!!

Oh, my goodness!

What you have captured would be so memorable to someone from a different country. Can so understand Shelagh's happy statement.

O! So gorgeous. I know people who make a point of NOT photographing sunsets, and I have never been able to figure out their reasoning!

The buck is awe-inspiring. I had to search to find out what kind of deer it is....is it a red deer buck?
In my rambles, I found you don't have white tail deer in the UK. Of the species you have, the red deer looks most like the white tail.

That is wonderful!

You are lucky to have seen a stag. I never have done, although deer regularly graze nearby.

I tried to comment but i don't think it worked. So do edit out this nonsense. I was just trying to say how lucky you are to have seen a stag. I never have although a herd of deer grazes nearby frequently.
