Waiting

I wait for the Lovely Son.

Millie waits for....  Father Christmas?

We have time. We have patience.

.....we have SO MUCH TO DO!

(but you know, the Lovely Son won't notice if the hoover, duster and tidying-up fairy haven't been usefully employed before he arrives. The house can wait too.)

It looks beautiful. I like the way your window sill candles co-ordinate with the car outside.

I've plugged in the vacuum cleaner, taken the bucket and cloths out of the cupboard and ....well, that's it, so far. I keep thinking, like you, that the Girlie won't notice the dust. But I know she soooo will!

I was up to date with hoovering, dusting and tidying up, but having just been presented with a pile of cigarette smoke-infused clothing, the Christmas spirit has temporarily left me. Husband has been delivering presents to his family, and I had not realised that sister-in-law had taken up smoking again! By the time said clothing has been washed and ironed, I'm hoping that Christmas spirit will have returned!!

I was in the supermarket at 8 this morning, only one job on the list tomorrow. Then I'll probably be bored...
Have a lovely Christmas, enjoy those shelves!x

Your home looks lovely. I bought some Paperwhites and Tulips today and have even arranged them in vases with Ivy and Rosemary so that is my decorating done. Have a super Christmas with your son and his girl-friend.

(I hope Santa comes too.)

Enjoy your time together. A very happy Christmas and best wishes for 2012 to you and yours.
Does Catkin know the Lovely Son is coming? Perhaps Millie told her...

Have got over my laundry hump now. I don't usually mind if people want to smoke in their own homes, but this S-I-L had given up ages ago. She has MS, is very overweight, and can't afford to smoke. Her sister, even more overweight, had a stomach reducing op in the summer, and has apparently started to put weight on again. Of course, I say nothing to them, but I could bang their heads together!

Have a lovely, peaceful Christmas, each and every one.

Your home looks lovely and I'm sure it's been worth all the trauma of relocation and renovations. I hope you spend a happy time with your son and all the best for 2012.
