What a little charming lane! And a real, honest-to-God thatched roof, eh?When I look at these photos of Merrie Olde England with the tiny lanes, I wonder how people can stand living on top of their neighbors. They must know every detail of every conversation in the next house!
I'm glad there wasn't serious flooding. Everything looks to pretty and fresh and summery!
How beautiful! I especially love foxgloves. Just bought a plant that I hope will survive to bloom next year. You're getting record rainfalls and we're in a drought. We need to figure out how to share.
I'm afraid at the moment I'd appreciate a bit of a dry spell. It's horrendous here, all the time. It's brighter today...but still raining as well. The utility bills are horrendous as we mostly still have to have the heating on in the evenings. I wore a thermal vest to work one day last week...
Our normally lush garden is rampant. Enough!!!
Good lord, what a flood! Lovely other pics, though.
Isn't it worse in your old stomping ground? I'm sure I heard the words Jesmond Dene (is it 2 words?) mentioned on the radio this morning in connection with a chap rescuing a mother and baby from a sinking car . . .
The sort of evening when one might almost dare to leave the brolly at home !
Such a pleasure to share in your pleasure in your (fairly) new home - an din spite of the rain.
