I was caught in all that rain. I was soggy! I got a lot of sympathy, which I deserved. And some breakfast.
Humans don't know how to dry a cat - she used a towel! not her tongue. Clueless....
So I had to do it myself.
A pink tongue is better than a pink towel any day.
That's better. Just a bit damp.
Here comes Mother's Little Helper. She's clueless too, thinks I should dry her, even though she isn't wet. Oh, ok, as you're here, just a little ear-wash....
And she takes advantage too. Sneaks in for a snuggle, when she can. She should be drying me!
She must have heard that. She's a feeble cat-dryer though; gives up too soon, and wants attention.
You're invading my personal space, underling.
No, I think she wants my chair.....
One little shove....that's better. Damp cat must sleep now. Do Not Disturb.

I thought she looked a little scraggly this morning when I passed her on my way to work
A lovely moment of amiable bliss in the ongoing quest for Queendom. Gus & Oliver often participate in a round of mutual grooming while sitting up together on a windowsill pillow. They each try to out lick each other with such gusto that they nearly knock each other over. It's like one is saying "no, let "me" groom you" and the other says back. No ! let me groom "you". Usually Oliver wins out and Gus just relaxes and enjoys it. Oliver is 3 weeks older and has been from day 1 the most excellent big brother.
How sweet - peace is obviously reigning after the rain! (Sorry about that!)
Oliver would like Millie (and you) to know that he has his level 4 Selfless Grooming certificate and is working diligently toward his level 5.

It must be very hard work to get oneself dry if one is as fluffy as that.
It rains a lot in Devon, by the way, in my experience. Just thought I'd say.
My heart just melts when my two kittys groom each other. My big guy, Whiskey loves to groom the top of Dande's little head. It just sends me...so darling.
Aren't cats the best?
Nothing better.
Kary..and my 4 cats
She was watching me doing the washing up through the kitchen window this evening. I think you have sent her to spy on me and report slatternly behaviour :)
Aw, you and Mother's Little Helper look adorable together. I hope she came back after you had your nap.
Oh you make me laugh :) There is usually something here to put a smile on my face. Im sure that is just exactly what that cat was thinking.
