He's home

With bike, in order to cycle around all the haunts of his youth, and to say goodbye to his old home. He doesn't think he'll come back to Newcastle after I move away.

And then he's off to cycle through Vietnam.

But meantime, he's all mine for a week. My Lovely Son.

All is right with my world.

He is indeed lovely.

Vietnam? I'm sure it's very interesting but nothing would induce me to cycle round it. Oh, to be young.

Enjoy your week with your (very) handsome son. It's all very poignant with the move isn't it?

Vietnam? That's ambitious - is there nowhere flatter nearer home?

Enjoy your week together.

Don't think he's going for the flatness, somehow!

You have a very handsome son... it is good to have time together...

... one of my daughters is an avid traveler.. she hiked around Thailand after the tsunami, all by herself.. as cheap as possible..

Such a handsome young man. Is he really going to cycle through Vietnam? How exciting. Don't let the packing get you down, this is the hardest part.

Vietnam, the only place I can think of that would be more humid than Georgia. Enjoy the visit, they never come often enough.

If I were his age again, I might like to bike through Vietnam... it sounds fascinating! Enjoy your time with him... very nice to have some time together before you move.

I've got one of those too - but he hasn't as yet expressed any desire to cycle round Vietnam!!

An excuse for lots of tea and cake!

(Am having trouble getting my comments to go through - I have been tweaking with Google!)

I left a comment yesterday but ...???.

The lovely son is tres handsome. As our Red Green says handy + handsome = goldmine/a rare find indeed. The tiny dog must be beside herself with unabashed joy. And cycling around Vietnam sounds like a grand plan, I've heard that it is spectacularly beautiful, such a perfect way to see a country.

Like the sound of Vietnam, though possibly not on a push bike these days. I see he's waited 'til you've done most of the packing...coincidence?

RO, how could you think such a thing! He's moved home so many times, and I've seen how he packs. Having everything stuffed into black bags, higgledy-piggledy, and thrown into the back of a hired van wasn't the way I wished to go! He'll have plenty to do at the other end, of course.....
