...what to do when it's a cold, very wet day, and you're trying hard not to be irrationally upset by recent events, when you need that extra little bit of TLC, when surprises like a delivery of flowers and chocolate are guaranteed to deliver a message of comfort and support.....
Ordered from far away in hot sticky Toronto, and sent all the way from the Channel island of Jersey, a gift of gorgeously-scented freesias, my absolute favourites, and a neat red box of chocolates have brought that message home in the nicest possible way.
Thank you, Shelagh.

What a wonderful surprise! It restores you faith in human nature when something like that happens! Have a good weekend, Anne
Ohhh,,,, how absolutely wonderful..... friends are a wonderful thing.... well, I think they must be, but, seeing as I don't actually have any in real life, I can't be absolutely certain.....
I love the scent of freesia too.... and chocolate...well, that goes without saying..... yum....
Isn't it lovely when you get flowers, and they're actually your favourites?!

Thank goodness there are people like Sheelagh in this world. It restores ones faith etc etc....
The flowers and chocolate look a fresh delight despite the distance. What an expression of friendship.
What a lovely thought ! And freesias are the perfect treat .... the scent lasts and lasts .
Just as a matter of interest , you understand .... what's in that round stripey dark choc. on the left ?
That's the nice thing about blogs - you are never alone!
How lovely, surprises really are the best things ever.
Lucky you! Something that will last and something that, er, wouldn't in this house at least.
