Little Florence

No, not her. That's Large Florence.

Little Florence arrived today.

Gretel (Middle of Nowhere, Red Flannel Elephant Designs) created her specially for me.

Her travel arrangements were meticulous.

She presented a card of introduction. Such impeccable 18th Century manners!

And then she introduced herself.

She brought essential equipment with her.

Welcome, little Florence!

This is how she started life (Gretel's WIP pictures):

She wore a scarf for a while, but a collar seemed to suit her better - and wouldn't interfere with the beloved ball.

What ball? Oh no, we haven't lost a ball already?

 Ah, that one! Lovely.

Florence, meet Florence.

Thank you, Gretel, for our delightful new addition to the family.

And does large Florence get to take little Florence for walks in the park and swimming in the river?!

Now all you have to do is to find a very high shelf!

Annie, believe me when I say that the introduction will be the closest that drool-factory big Florence ever gets again to little Florence!

Golly, looking at the photos they do look remarkably similar, more of a portrait than I intended. Though I think that is as close as the two Florences should go...thank you for ordering her, and even more thank yous for the lovely blogpost about her!

Oh my goodness, Little Florence is absolutely fantastic!! Keep her safe, or she may end up as Flossie's new 'Lady', and she doesn't look like she'd survive being pinned on the line week in week out.
What a lovely keepsake!

Hello Little Flo, I like you very much! Don't miss Gretel too much, you'll always have a place in her heart, and she made you beautifully but she had to send you on your way to your real family. We will meet one day and I will let you in on a BIG secret... but until then watch and listen carefully and you will have some fun, I promise ♥
