Having furry faces waiting for me is a huge boost, I find. I was at a meeting tonight, didn't get home until 9:15, and the little cat on the front walk and the little black dog barking his urgent hello wiped away all the frustrations of the day.
I once knew a man who was glad he had a dog, as it was the only creature in the house to greet him when he came home!! The gardener is very lucky to have you and the menagerie!!

Two perfect photos; the sweet little face in the window and the body language and white paws of the kitty. These say so much to me.
Aaah, so lovely :o))
All they need is pipe and slippers at the ready - the perfect welcoming committee!
Love these pictures! Fun to see black and white.
Well, I woudn't mind being welcomed home by Tosca and Millie either! So lovely.
Just home myself and catching up like mad. See I missed the big news! Lovely portraits. Looks like a lovely man.
Lovely for all around! Is Hamish still happy with his new pal?

It's odd how cats and dogs always know that it's THE car long before we've heard anything more than a faint engine noise .
I`m enjoying your black and white photos. It`s like being back in the 1950s again.......
