The foliage became mysteriously tattered.
There were bite marks, and stumps. Someone with sharp teeth has been here....
Two sorry-looking half-tulips are now in a smaller vase.
Tulip foliage seemed to be the best plaything this morning.....
....there was one likely Tulipomaniac.
Time for another stake-out.
Sigh.....

Noooo! Bad kitty! Clever kitty, undoubtedly, funny kitty too but, all the same, bad kitty.
1. prowl around the Black Street jungle avec rusty garden shears in search of beauty 2. collect a beautiful bouquet of something or other 3. come into house and fill desired display vessel with water 4. artfully arrange said bouquet under the watchful eye of at least two cats perched close by and suddenly with a keen interest in floral display 5. grab camera quickly and take many, many, many photos 6. turn my back for a second and return to scattered and tres tattered trail of former beautiful bouquet.
sighing along with you. xo Susan & les Gang
Oh Scooter, that's not how it's done!
Cute little thief, isn't he?
Ummm, not very amusing in this house- they only seem to eat the good stuff!
I'd be waiting for the sound of smashing glass all day!
I'm sure they absolutely think you brought in some nature just for them.... how about bringing in a few good sized tree or shrub branches and attaching them to the climbing perches. They might just nibble on them a bit or scratch and enjoy them as much as they would flowers. They might even ignore the tulips in preference for branches.
oh, and.... maybe it wasn't Scooter that actually took the leaves off the tulips...we saw him take the leaf, yes.... ..but.... but....it was already on the mantle....just sayin' ......
So, not just water wings but a Constance Spry flower arranging course is in order? Clearly a cat of many talents!

And he's such a shy young lad too !
No ,I don't believe it . He woz set up .
"Well, if they're not for us to play with, what are they FOR??"
No, he wasn't set up, but he's so rarely (well, never) in trouble that he had no idea that this might be a Bad Thing to do, and allowed me to watch the whole process.
I know it was him because there is an earlier video of a tulip leaf being vigorously torn off, but I spoiled it by laughing in an unladylike way and forgetting to turn the camera off.
Flowers and vase are now elsewhere..... He hasn't found them yet.
If he's like this with tulips what does cat mint do for him?
I am laughing so hard...That little scoundrel...
