Postscript

Impossible to describe how warmly supported I feel from receiving all your lovely comments.

Blogland is full of such nice people like yourselves, it's amazing. And heartwarming. Thank you.

There now, I've come over all inarticulate with emotion. Time to move on. Hugs to you all from me, and a little wet lick from her:

Normal service will be resumed shortly.

I'm working this week and this has been my first chance to get into blogland.

Oh my! The person who wrote to you is obviously barking up the wrong tree.... barking being the right word!

Ha, ha - is that a lick or is Tosca sticking her tongue out at us all over the whole palaver? Not wanted, neglected, me?? No chance!

Inarticulate ?
Meanwhile , you can make yourself one of your lovely cakes and a nice cup of tea and sit surrounded by all your sleek , shiny , beautifully cared-for pets , in a street full of people who know that you're always ready to step in and help , when needed .
You've earned it .

My husband I were a tad irreverent about our cat last Xmas, and my sister-in-law -- a rabid pet lover and also a bit drunk -- gave us a thorough tongue-lashing. People are irrational on all subjects, but they can be especially "sensitive" on the subject of pets.

I've been reading through some of your recent posts, and I see that you've taken your house off the market. Our house-moving plans have been set aside as well,as husband was most unexpectedly made redundant. Hopefully, the spring will be more promising . . . for us both!

Right on friend! Banjo and I send warm thoughts and wishes to you and all your beloved four-legged family members as well... and any two legged ones too. :)

Just catching up now, and am a little gobsmacked at the presumption of a total stranger sending an email like that! What a jolt that must have been, but hopefully you have been able to see it for what it was and moved on by now.

And dear little Tosca :)

The most accusatory are often attacking their own, denied, failings. No one truly kind would be so presumptuous and mean.

In the short time I've read here, your love for your critters is warmly obvious.
