Life is a little uneventful just now. There's the perpetual round of keeping the house up to scratch in case of viewings: washing, and ironing, and housework, and weeding, and garlic-eradication, and snail control, and touching up of scuffed paintwork, and dog walking, and more dog walking, but nothing very exciting going on.
So here are some pictures from elsewhere, that keep me cheerful and interested.
Sent by my sister from Greek island Syros, where even the butcher's shop looks rather jolly.
And Easter candles on sale at what she describes as "a holy shop/tourist tat shop/candle shop plus anything else you care to mention to get people into the shop shop".
And then there's C's enormous antique engagement ring with diamonds and emeralds.
And from Canberra, a possum (click to enlarge its cuteness) in Tricia's friend's tree.
Living vicariously; better than nothing. But wouldn't it be nice to be in Canberra or on a Greek island?

Having been sitting out in the sun this morning, I'm actually pleased with the weather at the moment, although a Greek island always appeals. I even like the ever-present bouzouki - perhaps I'll find a tape of Zorba the Greek and pretend!
That string of sausages looks as if it's just missing the cartoon dog running away with it. Hope you're getting some of this amazing sun. It's hotter than Greece today. 25 C.
Personally that gorgeous emerald ring would cheer me up!! Not usually motivated by bling but WOW!!

We have had sun for several days, too. There'll be a hosepipe ban soon . . .
Things are always more interesting somewhere else. I would love to be in Greece, too.
Do you have garlic mustard (or is it mustard garlic?)... I heard on the radio yesterday that it's very nutritious. Don't know if it tastes good, though.
If there is sun-shiny warmth it sound good to me.
I want that ring and I want it now (yes, I stamped my foot on the word NOW!) I love the description of the shop - somehow the shops abroad are so much more interesting than ours.
or Nazare, Portugal.....
We're all waking up from our hibernation , I think . I feel a Day Out beckoning !
The Greek island sounds a good option... but the sun is out here and everywhere looks beautiful, so no complaints at the moment!
Wouldn't mid finding a possum in the garden though.
I have easy access to possums and Canberra, but would much rather be holidaying in England at the moment!
The small mountain kingdom of Trelystan is giving Greece a run for it's money today. We have sun. We have cats ... erm that's next doors fairly feral cats. We even have some drinkable Greek wine. It's really pretty good here today.
With reference to your post below....Trelystan welcomes careful drivers.
Ah, a huge emerald and diamond ring giveaway - I sure am glad I came here today. Oops, my mistake.
That butcher's shop is the sort of plact that haunts my (vegetarian) dreams. Ugh. But I like the ring! It would double nicely as a self-defence device.
