A little rush of decisiveness to the brain today....
Last year we had such a good time at an archery taster event in the grounds of Belsay Castle, that we said we would take a class. Then life and more housey stuff intervened, and it didn't happen.
Today, remembering the enjoyment of that day, I searched, downloaded, telephoned, and applied. I'm starting a beginners' course in early May.

I take it Flossie won't be going near any arrow heads? I can see the X-ray now!
Maid Marion, methinks!
Actually I totally agree, anything target related, archery, target-shooting etc is totally addictive. I have only done the odd try, but classes would be brilliant fun! Plus, with archery you have the whole olde Englande glamour of it all! I'm envious, I'm sure it will be fantastic, and maybe rather Zen-like, when you are focusing that hard, everything else melts away, which I'm sure is really good for the brain. I find it in metalsmithing. have fun and let us know how it goes please! x
Fantastic! Good for you.
I once tried archery on holiday at a Club Med and fell in love with it as well. It feels so medieval! :-)
Wow! Good for you. I am supposed to be starting golf, which was put off by the knee op last year...not really interested but my friends have been playing and I feel left out!!
Wonderful! (As long as you're only aiming at inanimate targets, that is!)
What a lovely bit of decisiveness. Have a brilliant time!
Can you learn earlier and come and shoot some politicians for me? We are in the throes of electioneering for the Scottish Parliament elections - it would be justifiable homocide .... and given the current state of our justice system, you would probably be given a medal!!
I love the idea ! I'll just stick at the idea , since I feel the world is a safer place without me armed with anything at all , really , but it does sound like great fun.
This is a bit of cosmic congruence (I can't remember what that's really called) for me. Have been seeing archers everywhere I look lately. And I'm a Sagittarius!
Chuckling at Veg Artist's comment.
I hope you enjoy your classes, it looks like fun!

Well, that looks interesting. And don't you have lovely shiny hair!
Do you have to wear Lincoln Green for this course then?? I have a very fetching pair of green tights if you want them!!
You are never boring; not for one tiny moment. I'm jealous, what a fabulous way to exercise and what a great topic of conversation. And how good for the posture.

I haven't even strung my bow for years now..... but, when I was shooting...I loved it. Golf seems to have taken over my summers...
