Hope you're not left with a lingering pong for long . When a cheapo furniture shop , packed with foam matresses , bean bags and melamine tat , burnt near us a few years ago , the neighbouring residents were all given blood tests to see what exactly they'd inhaled . The town smelt yukky for quite a while ! But we all survived .

What a horrendous fire - I hope the smoke blew away from you ...... the smell from the burning tyres must have been awful.
Hello
I have just found your blog and the dramatic photos of my former home town, Newcastle.
I am now your newest follower and anticipate more North East stories.

Oh my goodness! What dramatic pictures. It looks horrendous. Get back in and close that window!
Nasty! Hope the smell has dissipated somewhat now. Our forest still smells :-(
I saw the plume of smoke from Seaham, when I was out in the car. I wondered what it was, then found out when I got back home.
It's just amazing that no-one was badly hurt.
Hope you're not left with a lingering pong for long .
