Slow day
The sun shines, it is unseasonably hot, I am in cotton and sandals, in March, and disinclined to do very much at all.
The cats seek sun, then shade; the garden grows.
My heart is full; I am in love with my life.
.....except that I woke up today with a clump of flea bites at my waist.
I have nothing much to do except to deal with the seven furry donors of the fleas, who were all treated (at great expense) exactly a month ago, to wash bedding, and in a leisurely manner, to prepare lentil and halloumi salad and new potatoes for dinner.
Despite the itching, life remains astonishingly, overwhelmingly joyful.
Scratch, scratch......

Ah. The pleasures of country life and tiny creatures!
First Spring in your new home's garden... I would expect some pleasant surprises. Are any of these transplants from NuT?
Almost missed Millie among the ferns.
Hurrah for your joy! Spring does that. There is no escaping the elation.
PS have not forgotten your borders.
the sun sounds lovely..I send sympathy for the fleas (which like snakes don't naturally live here whoo hoo!!!!)
We used to have to bathe our old family cat when I lived in the UK as she was allergic to flea bites..now that was an experience!
I was really enjoying your post ..... now I am scratching in sympathy!! We have been making the most of the weather, as the forecast is for it to go back to normal (cold) at the weekend .... snow was mentioned!!
I've been catching up here and it is a joy to share your joy!
Yes, days like this are meant to be enjoyed. Your garden is looking healthy. (Sorry about the fleas.)
Looks wonderful, sounds wonderful except for the scratching.
We've been lucky so far. Sprocket hasn't brought us any little 'friends' yet. He has grown into a gorgeous cat and is coming up on his first birthday.

This must be an exciting time in your garden, watching to see what comes up. It's all very pretty so far...
And Rhubarb crumble isn't far behind , by the looks of it .
Sorry about the unwelcome visitor(s) ! All around the world , we're scratching in sympathy .
Ah, yes...it never ceases to amaze me: what folks in your country call "hot". If i could, i would love to live in your southwest.
Thank you for you blog and sharing your joy with us.
So glad you're so happy. Apart from the fleas. Et in arcadia ego or whatever.
No fleas bites here but a mosquito got me the other day and I HAD to scratch - and scratch - and scratch.
