OK, who said that?

Who mocked me for keeping the box of Lego? In case I ever became a Grandma?

Just say that again to my face. Or my lieutenant's. If you dare....

But bring your army.

And some back up.

Oh no - call them off!! I can't possibly compete with that veritable army from Star Wars, let alone the superheroes, and so I take my Lego comments right back!

What's wrong with keeping stuff for possible future grandchildren,I've got lego and a huge box of building blocks although by the time I get any no one will know what to do with them!

I see your army and raise you two crates of Warhammer models.

Now we know what you get up to on a cold winter's night.

All this sorting and decorating has finally tipped you over the edge...

Bring it on, my Playmobil castle and siege engines can take ya.

Wow, love the Star Wars guys, maybe they could get rid of the mouse for you. Any sign of it yet?

See what you've set off now, Hazel? Archduke Ferdinand must be turning in his grave.

Amy, I just don't believe that Playmobil has seige engines - just soppy-looking little knights on fat ponies.....

Awww -cute about Lego for future grandkids. You've done a great organizing job there, for sure!

My Playmobil ponies were not fat! Those were the Weeble ones.

Perhaps they had to make them more violent for the American consumer. My big castle has a mini trebuchet. I bought it when my kids were little and one is in college now. That was a long time ago, maybe they don't make those anymore.

We've still got a Playmobil camper van upstairs somewhere in case anyone needs a bit of R&R .

We've got train sets, boxes of cars, Duplo, Lego ... you name it. All because we're waiting to become grandparents. But no sign yet. So they take up a whole cupboard. I'm sure I'll stop resenting them once the pitter patter of little feet is finally heard. Not that I'm in a hurry. I don't want to be an under-50 granny.

Unless one of mine has a miracle pregnancy (ie under 2 months) I'm not going to be an under-60 granny, alas. But I have the Lego all right. Huge quantities. (But not those very fierce chappies in the pictures. Did I deprive my son? Having two big sister, the poor chap was brought up among many dollies and Sylvanian Families and My Little Ponies... He seems to have survived, though.)

Wish I'd kept the Lego, I could play with it now and remember those lovely Playmobile people, I do miss them!

An enviable collection.

You never know when you will need a strong hard man (made of plastic).
