I love poppies in the garden, and they are gorgeous in the wild. We don't see them growing wild here, sadly, but I've seen them in wheatfields in England.

Glorious colour,too.

Beautiful!! We had something called "snow grains" this morning. I'd rather look out my window and see a poppy.

Crumbs ! Newcastle must enjoy its own special microclimate . Here it's still cold enough to take the skin off your face .
Eventually , should we all warm up , we should have yellow poppies .... but red are better . Well done !!
