Hip, Hip, Hurr-Ow?

Take:

A pair of wellies (and accessory dog).

A lovely bridge.

A curved metal kerb (wet at the time).

A careless step.

And sudden collapse of stout party onto left hip.

Assume some loss of dignity, although flounced drawers were not revealed to passers-by.

But a colourful souvenir remains.

Sensible walking shoes next time!

Or a sensible walking skirt.

Ouch! So sorry...

Glad to hear no horrible broken bones or twisted ankles. Loss of dignity, no big deal, especially while in the company of a dog. xo S & les Gang

Ouchy! Don't try cowboy boots either, not good foot gear for chasing squirrels.

Arnica cream or gel best for bruising.

Poor thing. Tweed skirts and brogues are the things to go for!

Goretex trainers - sometimes called 'approach shoes' are good. They're designed for the lower slopes of mountains like Everest! Good thing you didn't land on Flossie :-)

Oooh ow! Poor hip and dignity. Lovely bridge though. Did the dogs try to administer first aid or the kiss (lick) of life?

I'm very glad that you weren't seriously hurt! That bruise looks quite painful, though...

Ooh, ouch! Bruised hip or bruised dignity---which is worse? Like that lick of life comment! Hope you mend soon and wear your sensible brogues next time---along with, maybe, a padded corset??

Oh my goodness. This won't do at all. I hope Flossie sat by you until order was restored. Did you have a 'phone with you?

Ouch - that must have shaken you up a bit. At least you had your big knickers on, but painful nonetheless.

Ouch!! But it's not just the physical pain, it's the embarrassment! You will have to take more photos of your bruise as it goes all colours of the rainbow!!

That's the nicest curbed metal kerb I've seen in a long time.

Oooh, Ow! I do sympathise. Hope it gets better soon although I think it's going to be pretty spectacular on the way. May be a cushion stuffed in the flounced drawers in future?
