And now it's time for a machete, a flame thrower and a ruthless approach. The passion flower has strangled the clematis. The acer japonica has spread and made the seat unusable. The collection of pots and boxes, filled with herbs and and sweet peas as well as perennials, looks a mess. The seats and table need to be painted, and the paving needs to be scrubbed and de-greenified.
