Not that I would like to eat some of the food prepared - for one thing, the meat is served so rare it looks like it might bleat or moo at you.
Anyway, is it just me, or does the current fashion for foam on otherwise perfectly good dishes remind you of cuckoo spit?

Oh, no! Not just you.There are one or two other "decorative touches" that look decidedly like, shall we say, bodily fluids.

i agree about the foam and the blood. meat should be pink at best. and foam on food looks very suspicious. i wouldn't eat it :)
Remember the pods in ' The Invasion of the Body Snatchers'? That's what the foam looks like. Euuuuuu!
Hahahaha. We don't get the programme here and, having seen this post, I'm not sure whether I'm sorry or relieved. I do know I'm slightly nauseous.

Just as well I am unlikely to eat in the sort of establishment that would serve a dish with foam, as I would now think of cuckoo spit (and the little green insect in the middle!
The whole meal looks ghastly, never mind the spit! ( now to see if I can "get" the WV in one go!! ) ps. am presently on third attempt! Aaargh.
I'm right with you on the foam-cuckoo spit stuff and I hate the smeared sauces too. Yuck!
No. Not just you. Personally I can't see the appeal in any of HB's food-that-looks-like-something-else. Why?? I like to take care in presenting my food, but this is ridiculous.
I'm addicted to Master Chef and cannot understand why as I'm a veggie and most of the food looks appalling to me. I agree with Preseli Mags about the smeared sauces. I suddenly thought last night that a time will come when chefs no longer do that horrid thing with the spoon, smearing the soss (as Greg calls it) on the plate and I trust I will live to see the day.
Looks nothing like cuckoo spit (grin). Has always reminded me of the foaming frothy bit when the dog used to sick up a load of grass . . .

I was very taken with the fish-flavoured jelly barbed wire last night .
I see that I must start setting the stage for our food and it's no use just plunking an entrecĂ´te on a plate and expecting Husband to dig in ....
A chunk of cattle cake , buttercups and a cowpat are obviously called for , too .
I don't know what they call it in England, but here they're calling it molecular gastronomy and I hate it. It foam were to be placed on my food I would sent it back. Yuck, looks like snail slime.

Similarly addicted here though I wouldn't put most of what they cook anywhere near my mouth. Found myself shouting "Service" when I was dishing up supper in the kitchen the other night so probably no bad thing the series is coming to an end.
exactly like what Mom used to tell us was cuckoo spit....but, what is it really anyway? ... oh, dear maybe I don't even want to know.... I kinda like thinking a tiny cuckoo spit it there....
I ate at Raymond Blanc's posh place in Oxfordshire and had the most bizarre dishes - jellied beetroot was the startler for me - yes that l is necessary there. Then some foam was on the main dish with two smears and several dots of something else. Most disconcerting.

It reminds me of spit too. The only foam I want to see on my plate is whipped cream.
Have you seen "The Trip" with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon? They lunch at L'Enclume and are offered a frothy green drink made with mallow. They found it hilariously disgusting.
Don't mind the raw meat. But spit is spit.
