Peek?

No, can't show you yet*.

But you might want to walk with me through the neighbourhood. We'll step out of the little house with its thrilling Sold sign, wander along to Lizzie's house to collect her and her dogs, and stroll up the lane.....

Maybe we can say hello to the neighbours....

We can look at the scenery and listen to the birds....

If we look beyond the horse, we can watch the deer leaping the fence....

We'll amble past the cottages on the path with the walnut tree. Good for windfalls in autumn.

Then we must climb a little. Come on, you know you can; it will be worth the effort.

Past what Lizzie terms the Auntie oak.

And higher yet, watching for little ears popping up from the bracken as the shy deer watch us pass by.

Or big ears and curious faces....

Up and up, until we can see the sea, and Wales across the water.

And then we can see the next village.

We'll have lunch there, I think, before we go back by another route.

There are so many lovely walks like this near my little house! I plan to move into it in just over two weeks' time.

I hope you'll come again.

*No house-peeking, not until all contracts have been signed, sealed and delivered!

That looks cute, but it's only a tiny part of it! The area looks lovely, too, and you can see the sea (and Wales - wave to me!!!) from the top!
I hope you're sleeping better now that you've found somewhere.

Love the bridge with the ford. Hope you can get Hamish there too! Have you managed to get him in the cage yet? It will all be so nice for your animal family too.X

How wonderful it all looks, you've waited so long so you must just be over the moon! I can just imagine how excited you must be!

This is what's so great about blogging, even if you move away, you never leave friends. We can all come along on the journey with you!

Southern American here, rarely post...but have read all your moving adventures. SO very happy for you, can't wait for photos of the house. And I KNOW your critters will love the new location. I have always thought about moving to England...and your blog is my portal to a beautiful country & historic house.

Two weeks? Gosh, that sounds busy.

I'm so happy for you... but a bit sad for me. We never did get to have that second lunch together. But still. I'm sure you'll love it.

My jaw is dropping....your neighborhood includes such OLD yet sturdy buildings....your view includes what appears to be a CASTLE....
See, in the US, y'hardly ever see a centuries-old castle. Just sayin'.
