Book group

What's this? I need to bite the corner see. Sorry about that.

She's been to Oxfam and bought us a book. Looks like rubbish to me. I might not be able to read yet, but I can judge a book by its cover. I'll consult Lottie.

Looks like nonsense to me too. Even the cat on the cover is signalling that it's a load of tosh. However, I'll ask Millie what she thinks.

Millie's shaking her head. Humans are beyond belief at times. We want prawns, not books!

Millie says it's rubbish*, all right. Whispering to cats, I ask you!

Wasted your money there, I'm afraid. We could have told you everything that's in this, and more. Next time, try to get a copy of The Cat Feeder instead. And prawns.

Note from Human: *And they were right. The author reckons her favourite cat name is Zaphod Beeblebrox. Sigh.

Rupert (17), from a house full of books, says that the only things that matter in life are:-

bowls with food in them
bowls with milk in them
various designated 'beds' around the house
cat flaps

As far as he can see, the only use for reading is so that humans can easily identify his cat tins in the supermarket!

That is too cute. Very imaginative post. My 14 yr old daughter has been called "The Cat Whisperer" more than once. She has a rare gift for taming feral cats. In fact, the neighbor who used to do cat rescue regularly had the girl climb in the big cages to socialize the kitties and get them ready for adoption.
BTW, your cats are adorable!

The author has A name for cats . So she only has one cat at a time , all the better to whisper the poor thing to oblivion perhaps , or she rather rudely has a blanket cat name for all of them . Either way I don't think yours would want to live there .
As you know , prawns are the thing . Only bettered by lots of prawns and a chaser of tuna .

what you really need is a book that teaches you cat language; why will you not understand what we are saying so loud and clear?

Ah, it was prawn night tonight for our furry friends - Tesco day. I swear they know when they see me come staggering in with the bags that I'll have prawns for them.
