Homespun lace curtains. A WIP if ever I saw one.
Cobwebs always remind me of Miss Havisham.
I'm sure they weren't here last week.
Time for a quick whisk round with another Object of Terror to little cats.
Safest to rush upstairs and keep watch on the landing.

Dear Team
We LOVE that last photo !! - much parkouring, posing (handsomely of course)
in cardboard boxes and lounging on piles of fresh laundry happenin' around here.

It's a new type of spider. They make the messiest webs and I call them Miss Havisham's too! I think there was a TV production which made a deep impression on me when I was quite young. I can still see her sitting at the end of a long table festooned in cobwebs.
I just need to know the precise shade of grey paint you have up there on the landing.
Ok Lucille - for a fuller view, go back to attica-slowlife.blogspot.com/2009/03/first-landing.html (14 March 2009) and you'll see that it's Dulux White Truffle (above dado) and Grape Ash. Absolutely lovely in any light.
My cats are scared of the vacuum, but they think the duster is something to play with.
The last picture is so cute.
What industrious spiders you have!
Just don't go thinking that it's only old houses like yours that have cobwebs! (Although maybe if I hoovered & dusted more often???)
And personally, I always admired Miss Haversham's strength of character. If you are going to sulk, that's the way to do it! No use saying "Oh, what the heck!" after just a few years!
I love your colour scheme, and it's the perfect background for your pets. Lovely!
It must be very discouraging to be a spider . There you are working your socks off .... all eight of them .... and , just when you think , "Nearly finished , then I'll put my feet up .... all eight of them " , someone comes along with a feather duster .
Cute photo... I love his expression!
How the heck do those spider webs keep sneaking up on a person!!! Hope kitty wasn't too scared of the colorful duster! :)
I think cobwebs are some of the quickest forming things alive! I am sure they form overnight!! Love your little cowards! How sweet!
Our Secretary has been reading your comments at the Brooklyn place (where Don Estorbo rules)and now she reads that Scooter is planning a blog.
Hey, Scooter! Blogging is a lot of fun, but you might have to nudge your Secretary to keep it going. Ours is hopeless! She claims to be busy. She lies!
This is a very spidery house, the cellar is home to some real monsters. I leave them alone down there, but upstairs I feel very mean whisking away all the hard work.
