Oh, little ones. This really is for your own good, although it might get a bit worse before it gets better. You are moving to such a lovely place - there will be a warm garden to bask in, much longer walls to patrol, a different house to explore. And Mrs D will be more relaxed in a day or so. She will indulge you. The "move" will be over with. Boxes will slowly be emptied, and things will start to look like home again - it will just be in a different place. And we are thinking of you as well, not just of Mrs D. Moving is horrid for everyone.
It is great to see that the kitties are safely confined, while you prepare for the final stage of their transfer to their new house. Oh, the things we do for our animals.
Good thinking. Small room, limited hiding options. All will be better in 24 hours! Make-up prawns on the other side of the journey. Hang in there everyone!
At least you are moving far enough that they won't try to get back home. We moved three blocks and had to retrieve eldest cat Chainsaw 5 times - he gave up when the big dog moved into our old place. Young cat Skillsaw went missing for three months and then suddenly turned up looking skinny but extremely happy to get back. We think she must have gone hunting in her old patch and forgot how to get back. She kept herself alive all summer! She didn't stick her nose out the door for rather a long time after that only going just far enough to toilet herself. (I should add that both were stray kittens probably from wildish stock - one was pinching dogfood from my sisters dog and the other was found in a rubbish tin). We lost Chainsaw last year at 16 and Skilly this year at 15 and we now have a new kitten called Sprocket.
Aw bless! They will love it when they get to Tobias I'm sure, and all will be forgotten and forgiven. Good Luck with today...at least you have good weather for it. ( well it is lovely here in Herts!!) Looking forward to pics of your new life.X
All will be well. Cats just don't like change do they? One of mine is squashed down the side of a cupboard each time the bathroom fitter comes. Just get a good, loud singalong CD for the car and all will be well. Keep saying that bit...
If only we could communicate that it will get better~ so frustrating to see them so distressed! Hoping all is going well- you are very much in my thoughts. Mary
Poor babies! They'll bounce back, don't you worry. They're very flexible and they know you love them more than chocolate biscuits, so once things have calmed down it will all be okay again.
Oh, how that last picture just tugs at the heartstrings! Poor babies. But I am sure by now everyone's arrived in their new home, and hoping they are at the cautiously peering out from their hiding place stage. And hoping you are making nice progress in unpacking and settling in. What a relief to have the move over, and all your belongings there and time to get them sorted. And to finally put your feet up for a moment and enjoy a cup of tea in your new home!

Poor wee guys. But, they will have lots of new places to explore when they get to the new house.
I love these kitties...
I think Xanax is in order for everyone, including you, Rachel.
(P.S. Blogger still hates me and won't let me use my account to comment on your blog).
Not for much longer!

Please have a safe journey.

The darlings. Tobias Cottage will be worth it. Thinking of all of you on the journey there now.

Bless them! I hope things are going as planned for you. The cats will be very relieved when you get there.
